The "livest" studio improvisations you've ever heard, culled from two separate recording sessions by this unique international ensemble
who have played extensively in rock and jazz clubs, festivals, art galleries and living rooms in Boston and NYC. Aside from
their "normal" improvised music gigs (which draw on free jazz, punk, electronic music and modern classical influences)
Saturnalia have presented silent film soundtracks ("The Way Things Go", and "Der Golem"), installation works, and
collaborations with performance artist Rain House (from The Living Theatre Company). These recordings feature
LaMaster (violin, guitar, electric bass, and vocals) with Robin Amos (EML analog synthesizer), Michael Bullock (upright
bass), James Coleman (theremin), Creed Dew (guitar), Keiko Higuchi (vocals, trombone, and silliness), Michael Knoblach (drums and
percussion), Bill T. Miller (sampler and erase button), Tatsuya Nakatani (drums and percussion), Vic Rawlings (cello, banjo and
sarangi), and SPECIAL GUESTS: Elliott Sharp, Roger Miller, Greg Kelley, Zac Scherzad and Steve LaMaster
