The Mighty HouseRockers/ Lickity Split

THE MIGHTY HOUSEROCKERS
After playing blues out live with The New Blue Revue since 1995, Harmonica player, Bob `Satch` Romano from Braintree and his lead guitar and co-frontman `Slick` Jim Murray from Weymouth met @ Satch`s Blues jam back when it was held @ Helen`s Cafe` in Braintree.

After jamming together many times, Satch & Slick decided to separate New Blue Revue Jam shows with their own set lineup. The HouseRockers were formed in the Winter of 2001 and consist of Satch on harp (Infuenced by Sonny Boy, Junior Wells, Brownie McGhee, Charlie Musselwhite and Magic Dick), rhythm guitar and vocals. `Slick` Jim Murray kicks the lead blues guitar and sings like a man of a different color. Close your eyes and you`ll imagine hearing an old time delta blues man like Howlin` Wolf, Elmore James, Buddy Guy. Boston`s Tommy Quartilli blows a mean sax. Tim "The Fox" Gibson drives the rhythm with the five & 6 string down-low bass. Drums are handled by Dave `Bake` Baker.

The HouseRockers offer up a night of raucious shakin` Blues, Classic Rock `n Roll and R & B with a whole lotta soul! Venues played include The Chickenbone, The Next Page Blues, Onset Blues festival, Cotuit Rhythm n Roots Festival, Cafe`,Johnny D`s Uptown, Hajjar`s, The Purple Eggplant Cafe`, Helen`s Cafe`, Mt. Blue, Fireflies, Bad Abbotts, Harper`s Ferry, Swingtown, Somerville, Frankie D`s BBQ, Kingston, Players Sports bar,Rockland, Harry`s Blues Bar,Hyannis, Onset Blues Cafe`. Fat Boy Bills, The (original) House of Blues,Cambridge The Sea Note>> The C-Note,Hull, The Cantab, Cambridge, The Original Hard Rock Cafe`, Mari`s Place and participated in the finals in both the 2001 & 2009 Boston Blues Challenges. We are regulars @ The Next Page Blues Cafe and are available for your private function, party or special events.
