Heather was singing before she could even speak! By the age of 3 she was already producing recordings of herself with her favorite little toy tape recorder. Though born in Pittsburgh, PA on December 27th, the Walker family relocated to a small town outside of Charleston, SC called Moncks Corner before Heather started grade school. The family moved once more to Southern Maine in her teen years.
Heather is embarking on a brand new frontier in her music career. With an incredibly talented group of musicians and undying family support behind her, she's implementing new original music written by Charlie Daniels and Del Gray (Little Texas) into her shows, and in 2006 opened for national recording artists such as Lee Greenwood, Jeff Bates and Little Texas.
Heather's has been called "a bundle of unbridled energy" on stage. Her voice comes out a dynamically rich, country-blues sound that captivates her audience. Heather has secured a 9 date contract with the Mohegan Sun Casino's Wolf Den for 2006-2007. She performed as a headliner at the 2006 Fryeburg Fair on the same stage as national recording artist Phil Vasser, and will be performing for several other New England fairs through out 2007. Get ready, and be on the look out for Heather Walker Thompson in your town!
