More than 15 years ago we launched BostonBands.com as a free service to bands, fans and music lovers. Since then, the site has grown to host more than 6500 music venues, 8200 bands, and more than 2000 original songs and cover tunes from local musicians. But as our membership grew, so did the expectations of the many bands, fans and venue owners that use our site every day. So we decided it was time to double-down, so to speak, and rebuild BostonBands from the ground up.

Without further ado, we are proud to introduce you to the new BostonBands.com.  The new site, along with our new mobile site, have been completely redesigned with new features for all members, along with an updated look with state-of-the-art technology running things behind the scenes. • Bands, venues and music are all tagged by music genre, style or mood, making it easier to discover new local bands and music.
• And with the largest gig schedule in the Boston area, you can be sure to find your favorite music both online and onstage.
• Weekly newsletter with upcoming shows, links to new music and featured bands and venues keep members up to date.

More Social

• Members can Like or Share their favorite bands, venues and music via Facebook and with other BostonBands fans.
• Members can now post and share reviews and ratings on bands and venues, contributing overall rankings on BostonBands.com

Mobile Music

• Fans can now access local music, band and venue profiles on the go using BostonBands Mobile for iPhone, Blackberry, Android and other smart phones or mobile devices. 
• Share the same membership account between our web site and our mobile app, making personalized access simple and easy.
