AM is an independent Alternative Rock band that was formed in early 1999, by Jimmy Williams (guitar/vocals), Josh Staines (bass/vocals), and Will Szabo (drums/percussion) in Acton, MA. All three had previously been members in the 5-piece band "American Muffin" that had split up. Towards the end of that year, 1999, they released their first demo, which was actually an LP and was recorded on a 4-track tape, entitled "The Demo CD." A year later, they released their first studio LP, "So Far." Since then the boys have been writing, practicing, and putting on shows around eastern Mass non-stop. They expect to put out a second studio album (an EP this time) within the next year, entitled "The Sophomore EP."
