Founding members of JUG (John Bott: aging Florida punk & Guitarist, Dave Chaplain: Upright Bassist & resident music theory-ologist and Erin Bott: the belting banshee, Electric & Acoustic Fiddler) along with Matt Moulton, JUG's most pertinent drummer, have been hard at work defining their sound. JUG is known for their blend of diverse originals and provocative cover interpretations, as well as their high energy pub shows to capacity crowds. What had started as alternative old-timey would more aptly be described as folk-punk. Terry O’Brien - Owner of The Red Parka Pub said this, “JUG is made up of young, innovative musicians who love to interact with their audience. Their style is unusual, with a great blend of punk, rock, and a little bit of folk. Whenever they play here at The Red Parka, the bar is full and so is the dance floor. Can’t wait to have them back!” “Jug is wilder than a handle of cheap whiskey, more ass kickin’ than a ‘noreaster, and will make you feel your own soul on the dole!! Listen up: Jug delivers!” - Juicy Jim from Lovewhip (Independent Music Award winners, Boston Music Award winners and five-time nominees). JUG just released it’s fourth album, “If That’s What You Call Life” July 29th, distributed through Distilled Not Chilled Records. Their stripped down suped up sound has been met with thunderous applause at every gig and the future for this band is limitless. JUG has contributed it’s live performance to numerous benefits and continues to align itself with noble causes, a champion to both hometown heroes and those with real needs. JUG is available for bookings throughout New England and beyond.
