Evil People is a three piece metal band based in western Massachusetts. With Kris Strom doing the guitar and vocal work, Jamie Bust on bass, and Craig O'Brien playing the drums, this band prides themselves on being a little different. In the summer of 1998, they released a two song demo cassette entitled More Evil, Less People. They sold about 400 copies of that demo. Northeast Performer Magazine described the demo as being sludge thrash to the Nth degree. Digital Bear Entertainment out of Boston like the demo so much, they offered the band a two song spot on a compilation CD they released in the spring of 1999 called Mondrian. Evil People was also chosen by Big Noise Productions out of Providence to perform in the Big Noise Label Showcase 1999 and the Big Noise Label Showcase 2000. In the fall of 1999, Evil People released their self titled debut 7 track CD. Songs from that CD have been in heavy rotation throughout Massachusetts on radio stations in Northampton, Worcester, and Boston. Evil People has also performed many shows throughout the New England area with numerous bands like Another Society, Speed Dealer, Tree, Shed, Hypnotic Kick, Claymore, Suicide Contest, Greedy Edna, and Shoot the Dancing Bear, to name a few. The main goal for Evil People is to play as many live shows as possible, for as many people as possible, so catch them while you can.
