Boston based Singer/Songwriter Jay Psaros writes songs. In fact, he writes lots of songs. Psaros is currently celebrating the release of his fourth studio release, a self titled collection of ten songs ranging from mellow crooners to roots rockers. Psaros has developed a healthy career with the belief that music, like any art, must be created through a lifestyle dedicated to the craft in order for the art and artist to reach their full potential. To Psaros, it is an ongoing experience with a long road behind and a longer road ahead. Psaros has been called a "storyteller of precision," a "master guitar player," and a musical "painter of beautiful, rolling images." Over the past several years, Jay has completely immersed himself in the music industry. Jay has toured the country playing shows for audiences big and small. His musical versitility has allowed him to share the stage with a variety of international acts such as Eddie Money, Rick Springfield, Boz Scaggs, The Los Lonely Boys, The Little River Band, Ziggy Marley, The Original Wailers and many more. As a producer, Jay has worked alongside Grammy winners, local legends, and regional favorites. In 2012, Jay formed PB and Jay Records, a record label focusing on singer/songwriters based around Boston and Boston's South Shore. In addition to carrying a boutique roster of songwriters, PB and Jay records has a hand in booking several venues and events around New England, as well as holding a music column in The South Shore Magazine. "Today's musical landscape can be a difficult one to navigate, but a very rewarding one as well; filled with peaks and valleys. It takes a lot today to succeed as an artist, which is why immersion into all corners of the craft is important. It allows you to stay independent, in control of your art and in the process, gives you an education that cannot be learned in any other setting." Psaros' latest Self Titled release is the culmination of his efforts this far as a songwriter. The songs are well crafted, the players well seasoned, and the record well produced. It speaks of life on a dedicated path, about the loss and gain along the way and the emotions felt throughout the process. Currently residing in Weymouth, MA, Psaros will be touring throughout the region in support of his new release as well as embarking on a variety of collaborations with a bevy of other songwriters.
