began around june/july 2000 with bass player nate smith, keyboard player Alex Bean and guitar player Kris Jensen. Later Saxophone player/guitarist Graham Wright joined. After practicing in Nate's basement for awhile, we joined up with our drummer, Gabe Globus-Honick. At our first gig, an awards ceremony for a speech and debate tourney, we were asked for a name. Graham said to Nate, "pick a number between 1 and 200". Nate said "12", and thus the name. We've played numerous benefit concerts and just recently won a "battle of the bands" over 8 competitors. We play funk-jazz, about half original stuff and half covers.
