Not often enough is there a band who's drive is to inspire millions instead of making millions. That's where New England rebels KOBALT step in. Their movement started in 2000 as a reaction to the "second-rate" commercial bands that use their stature and gimmicks to sell their senseless negativity and hopeless, nihilistic world views. Like true patriots, they have reacted to their feelings of the "one-sided pollution" that embodies a majority of the world around them. The unorthodox balance of some of the most bludgeoning, aggressive music to grace the Universe and thought provoking lyrics, that are both spiritually and emotionally uplifting, is a refreshing stance in opposition to the dissonance of the human condition. With anthems of compassion, spiritual and political awareness, and the rights of all of creation, they are easily separable from the current faux-angst vernacular. A band so humble has never sounded so in your face. For fans of Killswitch Engage, Soulfly/Sepultura, Fear Factory, and Hatebreed, this is a band that will satisfy their soul in the auditory universe. While in no way a copy of any of the above mentioned bands, by any extent of the mind, they match them in intensity and power and prove that they can firmly hold their own beside them. Having played with the likes of Shadow's Fall and Killswitch Engage, to Skinless and Beyond The Embrace, the band has gained the interest of many fans from the different branches of extreme music. KOBALT is the premier crossover. It goes without saying that KOBALT is looking to shatter musical, cultural and racial barriers. Their convictions are set, but their sincerity and open-mindedness are conveyed like never before. The perpetual abominations of the "rat race" will continue to fuel their desire...No water can put out this fire. Visit KOBALTMETAL.COM for more information. Version 2.0 will be launched mid-summer 2003!
