Straight out of Providence, RI...
Straight out of Providence, RI, Kobalt has finally released their long awaited disc, "Demo (2002)". This four song recording is a journey that can easily place the listener feeling as if they are right beside frontman J Costa while he pours out his heart behind the mic. The disc's opener "Selfless Portrait" shows the new direction the band has chosen musically as they slowly step away from their past material. Unlike most bands, Kobalt's new direction is heavier, and more aggressive. With each riff and line through out the entire song, you can feel the intensity running through your veins as the song explores all speeds and deep corners. Other tracks include the bands well known anti-racism anthem "Eracism", "Perspective", and an unbelievable version of the fan favorite "Life Is In The Blood" dedicated to J's grandfather. This disc has it all and at it's conclusion, your left with the thought of wondering whats next. Be on the look out for this up and coming act. If you like your music heavy, passionate, and filled with intensity, this is a must have CD. Visit www.kobaltmetal.com for more information.
